Other Chapter News…
East Valley Adult Center
The response to our ride to the Father’s Day celebration at the East Valley Adult Center
was amazing. We made a bunch of new friends and certainly made an impression on a few
seniors who got to go for a ride. Anne Magee from the Adult Center sent this special thank you:
Dear East Valley HOG Friends,
Your generosity is beyond words. When I first saw all of you drive into the Center on
Friday I was like a kid on Christmas Morning! Little did I realize that is the same way
our seniors felt!! From the minute I opened the Center today everyone has been talking non
stop about all of you. The bikes are beautiful, but so are all the people that ride them. Your
kindness and patience will never be forgotten by any of us. All the people that each of you sat
with at lunch will be always praying for your safety. They sing the praises of each one of you.
All of you have touched their lives in some way that I cannot explain. Thank each one of you
from the bottom of my heart for taking your valuable time to spend with us. There will always
be a cup of hot java & a sweetie whenever you stop by. Please tell everyone that they are the best!
George, many thanks for making this happen. Keep in touch – we love you all.

Thanks to everyone who was able to show up and make this an event to remember.
Diamondbacks Bike Night
Coming up on September 12th the Diamondbacks will be hosting a bike night at Chase Field. There
will be free parking for bikes, food specials and much more. I’ll post more information as it rolls in.
Patches
Event patches are finally in, and if you were wanting a Frosty Balls patch, or a 2009 rocker for
that patch, Tracy’s got them. She also has some 2008 rockers for the Polar Bear patch. She can
be contacted at activities@evhog.com.
Calendar Updates
Please take note of a change in the schedule of events: The Coronado Trail ride originally
scheduled for June 27th/28th will be changed to a later date to be determined. On June 28th,
we will have our quarterly highway cleanup out at Fort McDowell Casino. This cancels the
previously scheduled Sunday ride on the 28th to Mimi's.
Million Mile Monday
Million Mile Monday is coming up on June 29th. Riders from all over the world will be riding
to contribute towards this year’s goal of 5 million miles. Last year a few of us spent the day
running a 400 mile route. I’m hoping we can do that again this year. So if you’re thinking
about riding that day send me an email and we’ll get a ride planned.
Iron Butt
There are a couple different Iron Butt rides that are in the planning stages. Put yourself
to the test on one of these ultimate endurance rides. If you’re interested in going please
send me an email to Tony Deforest at editor@evhog.com
and he will get you hooked up with the folks putting the rides together.
